Xander Singh is a Los Angeles-based composer, songwriter, producer, and sound designer whose work spans film and television scoring, podcast and commercial music, and sound design. Raised in Boston, he began his career as the songwriter, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist in the band Pepper Rabbit, while simultaneously composing music for commercials and television.
After Pepper Rabbit disbanded, Singh joined Passion Pit, touring the world for three years before returning home to create in the studio full time.
His transition into production and songwriting brought him into collaboration with a wide range of acclaimed artists, including Childish Gambino, Lorde, Selena Gomez, Foster the People, Kimbra, and Sara Bareilles.
In the world of film composition, Singh has scored features such as That's Not Us, The Ring Thing, and After Everything (starring Jeremy Allen White and Maika Monroe), along with numerous award-winning short films and advertising campaigns. Recent credits include HBO's The Chair Company and Wellwood.
His work extends further into podcast scores and commercial campaigns for brands including Ford, Nissan, and Crocs. Highly regarded as a sound designer among fellow composers, Singh has built a reputation for his inventive use of modular synthesizers and non-traditional instruments, and for his rare ability to seamlessly blend the traditional with the experimental.
